In the world of Consumernomics, it's not only important to know the best products to buy, but when to buy them, which is a key part of the smart consumer buying process that most people overlook. Here's a link to an interesting and useful article from Time Magazine that makes the dilemma of what to buy when much more simple:

I hope you find its advice as useful as I did!
I agree that the Time Magazine article you posted is useful. But, my best piece of advice about when to buy in order to get the best deal is simple: “do your research”. As a college student, I’m constantly on a budget. However, I use the Internet to find out where and when the best sales are. For example, I buy most of my clothes at warehouse sales advertised online where I usually pay 60% less than other buyers. I would not have known about this sale’s time and location if it were not for my research.
ReplyDeleteThere are a few websites I browse regularly. Without a doubt one of my favorites is slickdeals.com. This site is especially good for electronics. You should definitely check it out.
I agree that the post you found was very beneficial. In a world where electronics dominated, it is hard for someone not to get update on the latest gadgets. I found it is extra sometimes for tablet like ipads. Mainly from the price to performance ratio is the price of ipad not worth the dollar. For ipad's price, I can purchase a brand new laptop with faster processor and speed for fewer prices. What I considered to be better is the ipad's size and battery which last longer but there are always wall chargers around so it is not a problem.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post! I actually just posted something purchasing a tablet and help with the decision making process @ http://respectmymental.blogspot.com/. I agree with the first comment. The article was useful but I also think anytime you buy anything you should do your research. I'm a picky shopper and google is my best friend when it comes to shopping just type in what you want to know and go from there. But the article does make a good point that there are sometimes to buy certain things than others.
